The second highest mountain in England Ingleborough is a special place for me. I have walked it many times – often on Christmas morning. I have caved under it and I have many times climbed the nearby Twisleton Scar. It has a stark beauty in winter and the views from the summit include the incomparable Ribblehead viaduct, Whernside – England’s highest mountain and in the western distance, Morecambe Bay. I’ve no doubt I’ll be painting it again soon.
