David says:  I came across this lemon tree in a railing enclosed churchyard in Vathi, Ithaca whilst sailing in the Greek Islands. There was something vital about it set as it is in the heat heavy silence of an empty church precinct. I only had my phone with me so took a picture and made this painting in the studio on my return.
