Spring Classes at Norton Conyers

We will be focusing on the use of acrylic and oil paints paying particular attention to landscape, portraiture and the figure

Courses follow an ‘atelier style’ format of mentorship so that all standards and age ranges can be accommodated, from complete novice through to degree level, from student to retiree (the studio is at the top of a flight of steps so may not be suitable for the infirm).

Classes cost £35 per day payable on commencement. You will need to bring materials of your choice (Acrylic or oil and a drawing medium) + a support – canvas, board etc and a packed lunch. We have tea and coffee making facilities & microwave.

Suggested Palette:

Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Orange, Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Permanent Magenta, French Ultramarine, Cobalt Blue, Raw Sienna, Lamp Black.

Spring Term Dates

So all being well it looks like I’ll be able to run indoor classes for up to 5 people from May 17th. Due to restricted numbers I’ll be teaching over two days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) beginning Tues 18th.

Of course there will be disappointments as a chosen day may be fully booked but I will do my best to fit everyone in on their preferred day.

It is likely that new students will be asked to attend on Tuesdays as I already have an established Wednesday class.

I will publish further details here as and when I get them.

I’m very much looking forward to seeing you all.

Best, D.
